## What motivated this survey?
Jarvus has grown from 10 to 30 employees, and is experiencing new challenges associated with that growth. Parts of the culture that worked as a 10-person company do not work well for a 30-person company. It is critical that Jarvus maintain a strong company culture, especially in sustainable ways.
Jarvus hired Casey Watts of Happy and Effective to investigate what things Jarvus is doing well, and what things Jarvus can most improve. Jarvus leadership is planning to use these recommendations to invest in the people and culture at Jarvus, focusing on initiatives that will make the biggest difference.
## Survey Goals
1. Background Research / Validation
* Casey completed several interviews (6 Jarvus team members over the past few weeks). This survey will validate what he discovered in those -- determining if the interview findings are representative of Jarvus more widely than just the interviewees.
2. Sharing Findings
* Data from the survey is used for this report, which is shared with everyone.
3. Choosing Initiatives
* We’ll use this data to choose initiatives to make Jarvus an awesome place to work -- like coaching, workshops, restructuring, policy changes, etc.
4. Baseline for Tracking Progress
* For any initiative we choose to do, we’ll use this data as a baseline to evaluate how we’re doing on them.
## Anonymity & Privacy
It's extremely important in a survey like this to guarantee anonymity. If respondants don't feel like it will truly be anonymous, they are much less likely to fill it out and much less likely to fill it out accurately/fully.
To preserve anonymity:
- We DID NOT track who fills out this form by email.
- We DID collect demographic (team/role) information (which we use to group responses to preserve anonymity).
- We only collected data that we planned to use.
* Shared results will be broken down by demographics (role/team/tenure), and only shared in groups that are large enough to be effectively anonymized.
* A selection of text responses will be included in the report (anonymized)
- Direct results are only be viewable by Happy and Effective (Casey Watts)
